With February 14th, just a few weeks away, everyone is thinking about romance.

It’s pretty much one of the only times during the year when I do place a bit of try into spending a bit of time away with my husband.

In the past we have been very fortunate with the places we have stayed. UK Small Breaks can be fantastic, but you do have to be careful that you don’t get ripped off.

For instance last year we stayed at a few different Hotels In Wales. They varied so much in comfort and style, that this year I have chose that I want to stay at a nice cosy cottage instead, where it will just be the 2 of us.

By now I have done some research into where to stay. I have searched on innumerable search engines for cottage holidays in Wales, weekend breaks in Wales, Holiday Cottages Wales, etc. etc.

Some of the places showing up have been absolutely fantastic and there are some really stunning cottages out there for rental. But, I would advise caution when booking. It is elemental that you double check all the tiny print on any website you choose to book with otherwise you may find you are being charged for a lot more than you plotting.

For instance there was one companionship in particular who charged extra for all counting electric, gas, firewood for the open fire, towels, bedding and so the list continued. I couldn’t believe that companies really payment for bedding. If I have by now paid money to rent the cottage, I really wouldn’t expect to have to pay additional money for renting linen.

As it stands, as of yet I place of protection’t really got anything booked.

So for me I can’t see it’s going to be one of my best Valentines Days to date. In our house at the moment, there is a bit of a heated discussion going on about where to really go. I especially like the Brecon Beacon area. There is just so much space there and the Welsh people are absolutely fantastic.

On the other hand hubby likes Scotland because he gets to play his precious golf, so unless there is a compromise to be found, I can see our romantic break will not be anything of the sort!
